CIA High School Internship

In the United States, the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) offers various internship programs for the students. The agency targets those students that have natural interest in serving the nation as a worker in law enforcement organizations. In addition; another object to be accomplished is having a group of students with inclination to serve the country against the criminals. Although there are no official CIA high school internship programs, a CIA high school internship would be an innovative program designed for students giving them a practical work experience and basic knowledge of how CIA works.

The CIA does offer this program called the STOKES scholarship, which students can apply for in their senior year of high school.

Student Opportunities Overview

There are multiple internships offered by CIA for both graduates as well as undergraduates. For instance; the Directorate of Analysis offers fellowships for undergraduates also. Students are required to attend a 4-year Minority Serving Institutions (MSIs). However, CIA high school internship program is a limited period course and it is organized in summer. Eligibility Requirements

  • You must be a citizen of the United States
  • High School Diploma or GED, Bachelor’s Degree; Current Student OR
  • A full-time student in a graduate program of study
  • 18 years old at the date of application for the scholarship program
  • You must be a citizen of the United States

Scholarship Award:

The CIA provides financial need-based scholarships to undergraduate and graduate students. Scholarship recipients will receive up to $25,000 per year in tuition assistance, in addition to a salary for the year. All scholarship recipients must be enrolled in or attending an accredited university.

Requirements

  • You must be a citizen of the United States
  • Before graduating, undergraduate students must complete at least one and preferably two 90-day sessions at CIA.
  • Before graduating, graduate students must complete at least one 90-day tour with the CIA.
  • All scholarship recipients must continue to work at CIA after graduation for 1.5 years.
